Shiva temple Johi || The ancient Jain Temple in Sindh || Cosmic Plays found in johi temple

The Shiv and Krishna Temple, known as the Kubi temple in Johi.It is an important architectural figure in the city of Johi. This temple is about 200 years old. The temple was built in the late 1850s in the light of historical references. The style of the temple is very unique. An example of such a temple is difficult to find in Sindh or Pakistan. However, the structure of this temple is similar to or compatible with some temples in India and Nepal.

There are two dome-shaped structures in the Johi temple. It has a round and small dome and a very high dome structure called the cubicle. The temple spread over a large area. It had two front doors. One in the east would have the other on the south side door. In the construction of the temple is from  red and stone bricks, limestone and iron work are fixed. There were idols built over the temple that were broken after the partition of the British India. Look carefully at the dome so that the rectangular images in the rectangular boxes or frame-shaped structure will look clever or compact.

The construction of the temple is strongly strengthened, so that the pageant is present even though there is no rest. The damage must be done to the temple, which is visible even at the top of the tomb. The frenseco architecture on the exterior walls of the temple is also magnificent but it has now been demolished.

Inside the temple is a beautiful domed fireplace with round dome construction and walls. Various images of avatars Shraddha, Larsha, Parvati, Vishnu, Lakshmi, Krishna and Radha are featured in this architecture. Krishna and Vishnu sitting on the bottom of the seven rings shows that kirishna Lakshmi is clinging to him. Krishna's paintings are more painted in this temple.

In this temple, the small (cow) cowherd, cow, is so painted that women and flying stones are also painted. In addition to the birds the shoe and the monster are also shown. The women are painted on trees in a tree. Apart from these pictures on the walls of the temple, the designs of the flower plants are also well illustrated.

However, the Krishna temple  Johi along with other temple in Dadu district are a valuable asset of Sindh. It is believed that many measures have been taken to save the temple, but it needs a complete modernity and precision.
