  Ulhasnagar is a small city in Maharashtra, India. There are large numbers of Sindhi Hindus who have migrated from Sindh in 1947. Ulhasnagar city is part of the Mumbai metropolitan area, about 60 kilometers away from Mumbai. The population was 50,6098 at the 2011 census. There is also a railway station on the main railway line connecting Mumbai with Pune. Here you can find common Sindhi food cusine. Many Sindhi writers from India live in this city. It would not be wrong to call this city Little Sindh of India. After the partition of Pakistan in 1947, about one million Sindhi Hindus were settled in Ulhasnagar.On August 8, 1949, a ceremony was held in which the place was designated as a small town.
