Exploring Bado Hill Station, The tourism asset of Sindh
Bado Hill Station is a Hill Station located in Jamshoro District, Sindh, Pakistan. One of coldest hill station after Gorakh hills. It is situated at an elevation of 3000 ft (914 m) in the Kirthar Mountains, 65 kilometers (40 mi) northwest of Sehwan about 45 minutes drive. It is an attractive place for nature-lovers due to pleasant weather and beautiful surroundings as it is adjacent to several beautiful Plateaus and mountains of the Kirthar Ranges.
Bado Jabal also has a lot of gas and oil reserves which are currently being extracted by a Multi-National company ENI. There are many native villages at Bado Jabal but they are not developed. There is no basic facilities like electricity, gas and water supply.
Years ago work started to develop Bado Jabal by the government but the work never completed and the structures of training School, hospital and other buildings stand partially completed since years.
There are large deposits of best quality marble commercially known as golden and coral marbles along the hills. Centuries-old kai caves are a popular tourist attraction but owing to non-availability of transport and other facilities, ordinary visitors are unable to frequent these caves.
Ariel view of Bado jabal is very attractive & presents beautiful view of a valley. The area is surrounded by mountains with small green pastures at certain points.
Bado Jabal is also famous for availability of Unani plants called Paneer.
This place has lot of potential for promoting tourism in Sindh..
